HOLLICK & VANE

How an install works, start to finish

Three to five weeks from the first call to a warm house. Most of that is kit on order and paperwork; we are in your home for two or three days.

    Usually this week

    Survey

    • An engineer measures every room with a laser measure
    • Radiators, pipes, cylinder and fuse board checked
    • Outdoor unit position agreed with you
    • About ninety minutes, free, no obligation
  2. Flow meters on an underfloor heating manifold

    Within two working days

    Design and fixed quote

    • Room-by-room heat loss at a cold Tyneside January day
    • System sized to the total, radiators checked per room
    • One fixed price, with every radiator listed
    • Estimated yearly running cost for your house
  3. Gloved hands fitting a brass heating manifold

Two to three days on site

    Install

    • Day one: outdoor unit, pipe runs, old boiler out
    • Day two: cylinder, controls, radiators
    • Day three: fill, commission and test
    • Hot water every night except, at most, one
  4. A wall-mounted heat pump on brackets beside a window

    On the last day

    Commission and handover

    • Flow temperature set to your house, not the factory default
    • Controls explained at your kitchen table
    • Warranty and grant paperwork submitted for you
    • Commissioning sheet and photos emailed
  5. Hands reading a manifold gauge during a service

For as long as you own it

    Aftercare

    • 10-year workmanship guarantee
    • A call after two weeks and after the first cold month
    • Yearly service reminder
    • Optional plan with breakdown cover
