An air-to-air system is a heat pump that blows warm or cool air straight into the room instead of heating water. It is the quickest way to make one hot loft office, a south-facing bedroom or a cold extension comfortable all year.

When it is the right answer

Air-to-air is ideal where a room is on the edge of the heating system, where you want cooling as well as heat, or where the budget does not stretch to a full heat pump. It does not make hot water, so it usually sits alongside a boiler or a heat pump rather than replacing it.

A tidy install

One outdoor unit can serve up to five rooms. We run the refrigerant pipes in white trunking along the outside wall or through the loft, and show you the route on the survey before we drill anything. Each indoor unit sits high on a wall, away from beds and desks, so the air never blows straight at anyone.

Refrigerant handled properly

Every system is pressure tested, pulled into a deep vacuum and charged by weight, and the refrigerant is logged. Our engineers hold the certification required to handle refrigerants; we will show you the certificate numbers on the quote.
